Bay Area Breakfast

Santa Cruz Dinner Meeting

1st Tuesday at The Point (formally Portola House), 6:30pm. 3326 Portola Drive, Santa Cruz Directions: Exit 41st Ave from Highway #1, South on 41st about 2 miles (towards the beach) Right on Portola (at 4 way Stop intersection), 5 blocks to restaurant on left. 5th Saturday Central Coast Breakfast

July 2009

July 12-19 - Join 356ers from 356CAR and 356 Group Northwest for a cruise to Alaska July 12 to 19, 2009. Sail rountrip from Seattle for 7 nights aboard the Star Princess touring Ketchikan, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, BC. On Saturday, the 11th, we are invited to dinner at Dennis Aker's 356 hobby shop - site of the annual NW Bull Session. Prices start at $899/person plus airfare and hotel. July 18 - Bethel Island 22nd Annual 50's Bash Car Show. Two-day event with main car show on Saturday. All cars/trucks, all years welcome. Food, vendors, parade, entertainment. July 25 - Scenic drive to Mt. Tamalpias with lunch - This is the second leg of the "Four Peaks Tour" series that started in May with with a drive to Mt. Diablo and will also include drives to Mt. Hamilton and Mt. Veeder in Napa in 2009. The Mt. Tam drive will start at 10am in Novato, 1 1/2 blocks west of Highway 101 on Rowland Blvd. Use 314 Rowland for a map link with Mapquest or Google Maps. George Slatter found a number of great Marin backroads for us to drive. The first stop will be Freestone, then off to visit The Birds, followed by a drive along Tomalas Bay. There will be a patio lunch stop at a restaurant in Pt. Reyes Station about 1pm. After lunch we will ascend Mt. Tamalpais. We should end up in Mill Valley about 4pm.

August 7-9 - Monterey Pre-Historic Races at Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca. $6 admission per car at the County Park Gate. Infield parking and races on Saturday and Sunday as the drivers practice for the official races. Note: the paddock will not be open this year. www.laguna-seca.com
